Group Mentoring with CUNY BA Alumnus Ethan Frisch

Social Entrepreneurship Theme

CUNY BA is piloting a group mentoring program in which there will be an alumni mentor and up to 8 current CUNY BA students with the common theme “Social Entrepreneurship”.

In this group, students will gain an understanding of the elements that go into creating a business and be exposed to firsthand knowledge of the challenges that may arise. The group’s goal will be supported by alumnus Ethan Frisch, who will facilitate discussions and share best practices in a group setting.

Ethan Frisch graduated from CUNY BA in 2008 with concentrations in Conflict Studies and Education & Social Change. Ethan is the co-founder and co-CEO of Burlap & Barrel, a spice company that partners directly with smallholder farmers worldwide to source spices for professional chefs and home cooks. A native New Yorker, entrepreneur, and activist for food systems and social justice, he leads Burlap & Barrel’s sourcing, culinary, and advocacy work.
