This memo, dated December 20th, 1972, invites committee members to the first CUNY BA University Committee, which was held on January 4th, 1973. The memo was sent by Mary Jane Kinkade, the Dean for University and Special Programs to Vice Chancellor Timothy Healy, and about 12 other CUNY professors, college presidents, and students who made up the committee. The Committee shall be empowered by the Board of Higher Education to recommend candidates for the degree as well as to serve as the University agency to which concerned students, faculty members and administrators may turn concerning the regulation of the program.” (From the Minutes of Proceedings, February 22, 1971, Board of Higher Education.)
