Accelerated Degree Program with Masters in Liberal Studies at CUNY Graduate Center
CUNY Baccalaureate for Unique and Interdisciplinary Studies (CUNY BA) and the M.A. Program in Liberal Studies (MALS) at The Graduate Center, The City University of New York, offer a pipeline program.
Who is this for?
This program is for students who are interested in pursuing a Masters of Liberal Arts degree at the CUNY Graduate Center.
Eligibility
Eligible students are in good standing with at least one semester of coursework in CUNY BA, at least 60 credits completed (at least junior level), and a CUNY BA GPA of at least 3.0.
Benefits
Students may earn up to 12 (twelve) credits within MALS during their undergraduate degree program in CUNY BA. These credits will be applicable to the CUNY BA degree and may be accepted towards a Master’s degree, for those CUNY BA graduates desiring to continue into the MALS program.
How to Apply
There are two application deadlines each year: November 1 for the Spring semester and March 1 for the Fall semester. Applicants to the CUNY BA–MALS Pipeline should complete the general Graduate Center application. As part of the process, you will be required to submit a 1–2 page essay, a writing sample of at least five pages, and have two faculty members submit letters of recommendation.
