Christopher-Marcus Johnson (he/him) is a senior in the CUNY Baccalaureate for Unique and Interdisciplinary Studies program, completing an Area of Concentration in Healthcare Compliance. His academic interests center on the intersection of LGBTQ+ healthcare, HIV policy, and regulatory integrity. A background in pre-law studies and political advocacy further shapes his work. He previously served as a Stakeholder Engagement and Policy Research Assistant on the 2021 campaign of Cincinnati City Councilman Reggie Harris, the city’s first openly gay councilman.
Christopher brings hands-on healthcare experience from roles as a Certified Nurse Aide, Transportation Coordinator, and Director of Central Supply. These positions gave him valuable insight into both the clinical and operational challenges facing today’s healthcare system.
After graduation, Christopher-Marcus plans to complete nursing prerequisites and pursue a second degree in nursing. He hopes to integrate his clinical experience with his policy background to advance more equitable healthcare outcomes for marginalized communities.
Outside of academics, he enjoys creative writing.
