Ann Marie joined CUNY BA in 1994, working as a college assistant in the Registrar’s Office, then progressing to Assistant Registrar, then Associate Registrar, and now as the Registrar. Prior to that, she worked as a college assistant in the Registrar’s Office at LaGuardia Community College.
She oversees all aspects of registration - supervising data entry for entering students, managing student registration and entering grades, running the ePermit process by approving student requests and collaborating with other CUNY registrars, and handling special requests to take excess credits and/or graduate-level courses. She assists current students in many ways. For example, she manages student leaves of absence, withdrawals, and dismissals. She creates the dean’s list and reaches out to students who are not making satisfactory academic progress. She clears students to graduate by finalizing graduates’ transcripts (evaluating appropriate honors, degrees, and degree dates).
She maintains academic records of enrolled CUNY Baccalaureate students and over 8,000 alumni, coordinating both diplomas, transcripts, and enrollment/degree verification, upon request. The program relies on her to provide statistical information on enrolled students, retention, and graduation rates. As Registrar, she works closely with CUNY Central Office, CUNYfirst administration, The Graduate Center, and CUNY Computing Services on utilizing available computer-based solutions to access data most efficiently for the CUNYBA Program as a whole.
She represents CUNY BA on the CUNY Council of Registrars. She participates on the University Committee and is a member of the University Committee By-Laws and Academic Curriculum SubCommittees.
Ann Marie holds a B.B.A. in Industrial Organizational Psychology and an M.S.Ed in Higher Education Administration, both from Bernard M. Baruch College.
