Rafal joined the program in August 2007 as Academic Advisor. In this role, he conducts admissions interviews, credit checks, graduation audits, and provides guidance to students regarding the program’s degree requirements. In addition, Rafal oversees the CUNY BA Academic Conference Series and the Leadership Academy.

Rafal holds a B.A. from Hunter College and an M.A. in Political Science from The Graduate Center. Before joining CUNY Baccalaureate, he worked for two years as an admissions counselor at CUNY’s Office of Admissions Services. Rafal also teaches as an Adjunct Lecturer at City College International Studies Program. His coursework includes Multilateral Responses to the Refugee Crisis (Spring 2018); Model UN (Spring 2015-18); Research for Model UN (Fall 2014-19); Senior Essay in International Studies (Fall 2014); Introduction to International Studies: A Global Perspective (Fall 2012, Spring/Fall 2013, and Spring 2014); Independent Study- The United Nations, US Foreign Policy and Global Security (Fall 2013). Rafal is a recipient of the 2016 United Nations Alliance of Civilization fellowship.
