Students’ Rights Concerning Their Information

The federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) affords students certain rights with respect to their education records, including name, attendance dates (periods of enrollment), addresses, telephone number, electronic mail address, date and place of birth, photograph, full- or part-time status, enrollment status (undergraduate, graduate, etc.), level of education (credits) completed, major and minor fields of study, previous schools attended, and degrees and awards received.
