Hui Peng (she/her) is a PhD candidate in Theatre and Performance at the Graduate Center, CUNY. Her research explores disability studies, audience and spectatorship, and Lusophone-Asian diasporic performance. Currently, she is writing her dissertation on relaxed performance to understand how to make theatre more accessible and culturally responsive. Over the past four years, Hui has taught at Hunter College, Baruch College, and LaGuardia Community College, and served as a Writing Across the Curriculum Fellow at Lehman College where she researched inclusive pedagogy. At CUNY BA, she focuses on Student Leadership Development, coordinating with the Student Leadership Council and Peer Mentor program, as well as curating events, workshops, alumni panels, student showcases, and field trips.
